Collin College’s Insurance Management degree and certificate program is designed to prepare students for diverse and rewarding careers across the insurance industry. Through industry-aligned coursework, students develop the knowledge and skills needed for roles such as, but not limited to, claims, underwriting, sales, agency operations, and risk management.

The curriculum supports students in pursuing professional designations while completing program coursework and provides the foundational knowledge needed to pass the Texas Department of Insurance Licensing Exam. Throughout the program, students strengthen their critical thinking, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills, qualities essential for success in this field.

The Insurance Management program is taught by full-time faculty with extensive and up-to-date professional experience in the industry. This combination of academic preparation and real-world expertise ensures that students receive practical, relevant, and career-focused instruction.

Interested in earning a bachelor’s degree? Students who plan to transfer to a university should meet with a Collin College academic advisor and review transfer requirements for their intended institution. Collin College currently has agreements that allow graduates with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Insurance Management to transfer into Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) programs at select Texas universities.
