Introduction to the solar system; basic tools and concepts in astronomy and physics are discussed. Subjects studied include planets, moons, asteroids, comets, solar system formation, and solar system exploration. Laboratory exercises, night observations, planetarium and observatory visits combine to enhance lecture material.
