PHYS 1403 - Stars and Galaxies

Introduction to stars and galaxies; basic tools and concepts in astronomy and physics are discussed. Subjects studied include stellar evolution, supernovae, black holes, neutron stars, galaxies, and quasars. Laboratory exercises, night observations, planetarium and observatory visits combine to enhance lecture material.
