MUAP 1188 - Secondary Applied Music - Electroacoustic Composition

Individual instruction in voice, instrument, composition, or conducting. Additionally, private instruction in the area of the student’s concentration, consisting of one 25-minute lesson per week. Students must remain enrolled in 1 of a MUEN course, attend weekly Departmental recitals for the semester, and participate in a jury. Applied lessons are for individuals with no less than intermediate proficiency of their instrument and are not intended for introductory instruction. Assessment will occur through a standard audition before enrollment to confirm that minimum proficiency levels are met for both the applied lesson and corequisite ensemble. Students who do not meet minimum levels of proficiency may be advised into alternative course options. Contact the Music Department for permission prior to registering.
Prerequisite(s): Audition.
Corequisite(s): Remain enrolled in at least one of MUEN class(es).
Note: Students may receive credit for up to 20 of any combination of MUAP courses. This includes MUAP 1101-MUAP 2291.
