Welding is a craft that is highly valued in both the industrial world and artistic worlds. Welders who graduate from Collin College’s program will be prepared to gain employment or go into business for themselves, providing a service that is always in high demand.
Collin College offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Welding, two level 1 certificates, and one level 2 certificate. The AAS will allow you to earn a degree in Welding, while the certificates are designed to qualify you in specific processes such as Entry Welding, Welding Fabrication, and Welding Technology.
The department offers training in robotic welding, sub-arc welding, aerospace welding, advanced fabrication, tungsten inert gas (TIG), metal inert gas (MIG), flux core, and stick welding processes.
