Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees must incorporate at least 15 semester credit hours (SCHs) of General Education/Core Curriculum courses with a distribution that includes:
- At least 3 SCHs from Mathematics/Natural Sciences
- At least 3 SCHs from Humanities/Fine Arts, and
- At least 3 SCHs from Social/Behavioral Sciences
Additionally, Collin College requires all AAS degrees to include ENGL 1301-Composition I.
The final 3 SCHs may be chosen by the department from among any general education/core curriculum course offered by Collin College that is not already being used to fulfill a requirement above. Some departments may allow students to choose from among available general education/core curriculum courses.
