Advanced topics based on accepted welding codes. Training provided with various electrodes in shielded metal arc welding processes with open V-groove joints in various positions.
Prerequisite WLDG 1428.
Corequisite WLDG 1435.
Note: Welding classes require extended periods of time standing in place, lifting heavy weights (up to 60 pounds repeatedly), reaching, bending, and working around open flames and intense heat for extended periods of time.
