SGNL 2301 - Intermediate American Sign Language I

Introduction to the intermediate skills needed in the production and comprehension of American Sign Language used in everyday communication. The course gives students an overview of the history, values, and social norms of the Deaf community in the United States. This course integrates and refines expressive and receptive skills in American Sign Language, including recognition of sociolinguistic variations. Class is conducted primarily without voice.
Prerequisite SGNL 1402 with a grade of “C” or better.
